Eric Metcalf | NewThing Small Groups Champion
We are currently in a one year initiative where we are asking Who's Next? As a part of this initiative CCC small groups are striving to reach a goal for just over 60% of our groups to have apprentices by Oct. 1 this year.
As a part of this effort we have presented skills in the past about how to recruit, develop and release an apprentice. It was shortly after we presented this skill that we had leaders and staff saying, "I'm getting closer to understanding how to recruit, develop and release a new leader, but how do I know what to look for in a potential apprentice?" First I would take some time to review Leadership Expectations and spend some time praying for God to help you see right person(s) to ask, then take a look this video blog:
How to Identify and Apprentice - download notes here.
not sure if it's my computer, but the video isn't functioning right.... like it goes right to the "share, watch again" option...

I really like how it is more important that they live their life according to the Bible verses being able to run around quoting it. Too often we see just the opposite...
