Well visiting REUNION Christian Church in Boston was great and I have to tell you there are some really HUGE God-things happening there.  I really shouldn't be surprised with all the talented leadership there, but it was truly an amazing experience.

They have been covered by the Boston Globe, recently had their first baptism, have plans to launch 7 new small groups this fall, have incredibly talented artists in their church community (muscial, vocal, technical, and visual artists), 160+ adults attending celebration services (not down much at all from their spring attendance!), and they have been recognized alongside of other churches who have been around much, much longer - affirming that the community of Boston is beginning to trust them and see them as a legitimate church community.

So please continue to pray for the REUNION as they seek to help more people find their way back to God in Boston - they are doing an incredible job.  Pray for leaders, spiritual formation, and financial resources as they seek to become finanically indepedent in the coming years.  And if you think of it, send Hank and the team an email to let them know you're praying for them at hank@reunionboston.com.

I'm leaving today to visit one of our NewThing Affiliates, REUNION Christian Church where some old friends: Hank and Julie Wilson and Mike and Karen Brown; started a church to help more people find their way back to God.  Plus I hope to get the chance to hang out with some other cool people from their staff: John Tischer and Phil Mcartyle.  REUNION is a recent church plant in an area that desperately needs more thriving and relevant Christ-following churches.  I'll let you know how the trip goes!

NewThing Small Groups Props!

Matt Payne, Lead Pastor of Church! at Bethany, gave NewThing, small groups, and the Big Idea Discussion Guides some props on his blog "Connecting the Unconnected".  Matt just became a NewThing Affliate Church and we are very excited to have him as a part of the team. 

It's our dream that NewThing be a catalyst for a reproducing movement and we believe small groups play a critical role in making that happen.  And I know Matt believes that as well - so thanks Matt for the props!
