"That Was Hot, Dawg!"
Ok, I finally forgive American Idol for their terrible week last week. This week, for the most part, they got it right!
First, the right person went home--sorry Chikezie, you're fun and all, but it was time. And maybe you'll learn that R&B ballads never get you anywhere.
Second, my favorites rocked it out! David Cook did awesome (I've heard that Chris Cornell version of "Billie Jean" and am so glad he found it). The question now is--can he really win, or will he suffer the same fate as Daughtry? And if so, is that better for his career than winning, and thus having to release an uber-cheesy ballad as his first single?
My other favorite guy, Michael Johns, rocked again too. But maybe he should just quit now and go make a living as the frontman for a Queen cover band?
I also liked Carly's "Total Eclipse" more than the judges again. And Kristy Lee actually did enough to keep her out of the bottom 3!
So who should go home next? For me it's a tie between Ramielle and Syesha--of course both are talented, but so is everyone in the top 10. But neither are memorable enough, and I wouldn't buy an ablum by either.
(NOTE: I'd also list David Archuleta here, but I don't want too much blog-hate-mail. Yet.)
So who do you want to go home next?

Get rid of David Archuletta! His voice is weak and his cute act is played out. i'm with ya bro.

Thanks for having my back bro, I agree!

Me too - I'm over Archuletta. He's dull. Ramiele should be next to go followed by Archie. David Cook has grown on me once I got past the hair! I'm looking forward to Dolly Parton week especially to see what they each choose to sing. I've got my own list for a few of them and can't wait to see if they choose wisely or poorly.

I used to like David A, now I think he's not very good. He can go...along with Kristy Lee Cook and Ramiele. (I know you said one....but I have three, oh well!!) My favorites are Brooke White, Michael Johns, David Cook, and Jason Castro. Jason is slightly fading...he hasn't had the greatest performances lately. Oh well.
I think Dolly Parton is decent, but what is it with American Idol and weird/repeating theme weeks?!? Is there no one else we can sing besides the stinking Beatles?!? The Beatles are pretty cool, but enough is enough. Have we run out of ideas?!? Ha ha Lol
The thing we keep hearing is that this is the best pool of talent yet. Who agrees? I'm mixed. I do think we've had great talent, but I don't think we made some of the wisest choices in the top 24.
That's my thought....and I'm sticking to it...

Thanks for chiming in Rachel--good stuff!
I agree, I'm mixed on the whole "best of pool of talent" thing.
And I have no idea what to expect from Dolly Parton week! Assuming it's an all-country week, I just hope that David C. and Michael J. can find a way to still shine strong.
